Expanding its footprint in India, US-based digital banking platform Candescent has launched a new technology centre in Hyderabad, strengthening its engineering and innovation capabilities.
The new facility spans 30,000 sq ft and currently employs 260 people. It will serve as a core hub for engineering and innovation, supporting the company’s global operations.
The company confirmed that its existing Hyderabad office will continue to function until 2027. Teams will operate from both locations, reflecting a mix of immediate expansion and long-term commitment to India.
With an established presence in Mumbai and Bengaluru, Candescent has over 800 engineers in India. These teams handle the architecture, design, development, and operation of key components of its digital banking platform.
The platform supports more than 1,300 banks and credit unions, serving around 30 million users in the United States.
“Teams here are working on critical parts of our platform, from real-time payments and high-volume systems to AI-driven workflows and resilient infrastructure,” John Garvey, Chief Operating Officer of Candescent.
The new centre highlights the company’s focus on scaling its technology capabilities and strengthening its role in digital banking innovation.
