Before joining KnowBe4, Veena briefly served as Chief People Officer (Interim) at Patriot Growth Insurance Services. Prior to that, she was Chief People Officer at Flexential, where she led people strategy during a significant phase of business transformation.
During her 5-year tenure at Flexential, she supported strong EBITDA and revenue growth, drove cultural transformation, built a scalable HR function, and led C-level succession and onboarding. She also modernised HR systems, developed board-level human capital dashboards, reduced medical benefit costs, and advanced DEIB and ESG roadmaps aligned with investor expectations.
Earlier, Veena was Principal & Managing Director at Blake Street Group, where she worked with investors, boards, and CEOs on leadership challenges including human capital due diligence, organisational readiness, and executive development.
Veena also served as CHRO at Optiv, where she led human capital integration during a merger of two equally sized competitors. She supported business scaling beyond $2 Bn in revenue, prepared HR for an IPO path, reduced attrition, and managed multiple M&A integrations and large-scale hiring initiatives.
Prior to that, she was CHRO / Senior Vice President HR at CoreSite, partnering with the Board Compensation Committee and supporting major growth in revenue and headcount.
At Avaya, she led global employee communications and talent management, including executive development, succession planning, and engagement. She also played a key role in the Nortel acquisition integration, involving thousands of employees across 40 countries.
Her earlier roles include leadership positions at McDATA, Qwest Cyber Solutions, StorageTek, US West, Whirlpool Corporation, and Baxter Healthcare.
Veena’s career reflects deep expertise across human resources, organisational transformation, executive hiring, talent strategy, M&A integration, culture building, and board-level governance. With experience spanning multiple industries and global markets, she brings a strong and diverse leadership profile to her new role.
