In a major crackdown on international cybercrime, Thai authorities have arrested a German national accused of running large-scale cyberattack platforms, with extradition proceedings expected to follow.
According to officials, the arrest was carried out with support from the German Federal Security Service. The suspect, Noah Christopher, is facing up to 74 cybercrime-related warrants in Germany.
Christopher is alleged to have created and operated cybercrime-as-a-service platforms named Neldowner and Fluxstress. These platforms reportedly allowed users across the world to launch distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeting systems in multiple countries. Payments for these services were made using digital currencies, including Bitcoin.
Authorities in Thailand are currently examining Christopher’s computers to determine whether any cyberattacks were directed at organisations within the country. Despite the arrest, cybersecurity experts have noted that the Fluxstress platform is still active and operational.
Investigations suggest that Christopher ran these platforms between 2021 and 2025. Before relocating to Thailand, he is believed to have lived in China and Dubai.
Phanumas Boonyalak stated that authorities are increasing efforts to identify and monitor individuals who may pose risks while staying in the country. He added that investigations are ongoing to track any related networks or individuals.
The case highlights growing global cooperation in tackling cybercrime, as authorities continue to pursue individuals operating across borders.
