Vivo X300 FE may debut in India with advanced zoom kit and AI camera features

After its quiet debut in Russia in March, the Vivo X300 FE is now expected to arrive in India soon, bringing upgraded camera capabilities and premium features. Reports suggest the device could launch in the first week of May, possibly with an India-exclusive green colour option.

The smartphone is likely to be introduced with a Zeiss Telephoto Extender Kit, which will be sold separately. Developed in partnership with Zeiss, the accessory is designed to attach to the telephoto lens using a dedicated case. It may extend zoom capabilities by up to 2.35x, enabling up to 200mm optical zoom and a maximum focal length of 1600mm.

The Vivo X300 FE is expected to feature a 50MP Zeiss-backed telephoto camera and AI-powered portrait modes. When used with the extender kit, these features could improve portrait photography. The device may also include a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 50MP front camera is also expected.

In terms of design, the phone could measure 7.99mm in thickness and weigh 191g. It may come in Black, Green, and Purple colour options with an AG frosted finish for a premium feel.

The handset is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, offering up to 36% CPU improvement, 11% GPU gains, and 46% better AI performance. It is expected to support LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with benchmark scores crossing 3.16 million on AnTuTu.

Running on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, the device may offer features like Atomic Island for seamless file sharing and AI VFX for dynamic image effects such as aurora and snowfall.

Additional camera features may include Stage Mode, dual-camera video recording, AI enhancements, and a multi-focal portrait flash system supporting focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm.

The Vivo X300 FE is expected to pack a 6500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. It may also include bypass charging and improved thermal management.

The device is likely to be priced below the standard Vivo X300, which is currently available in India at around Rs. 75000, and is expected to compete with the iPhone 17 and Samsung Galaxy S26.
