The upcoming Redmi K90 Max is all set to make its debut in China next week, as confirmed by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi through an official social media announcement. Alongside the launch date, the company has also revealed key specifications and features of the device.

The Redmi K90 Max will launch in China on April 21 at 7:00pm (4:30pm IST). Positioned as a gaming-focused smartphone, the device will feature a dual-core air cooling system designed for better thermal management during heavy usage.

One of the major highlights is its 6.83-inch M10 display, offering a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3500 nits peak brightness. The company claims the display can deliver up to 160fps across 40+ games. It also supports a 3500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, enhancing responsiveness for gamers.

For audio, the handset will include 1115x symmetrical stereo dual speakers, co-tuned by Bose, similar to other models in the K90 series.

Pre-reservations for the Redmi K90 Max have already started on the brand’s official website in China. Customers who pre-book the device can avail of up to CNY 1200 (approx. Rs. 12000) trade-in discount on exchanging old smartphones. The phone will be available in a Space Silver colour option.

The device is also confirmed to come with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. As per earlier updates, it is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, support 100W wired charging, and feature a battery capacity exceeding 8000mAh.

The Redmi K90 Max will join the existing Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max, which were launched in October last year with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and triple rear camera setups. The Pro Max variant is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with a 7560mAh battery, while the standard model comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 7100mAh battery.
