GITEX AI Asia 2026 signals shift toward scalable and efficient AI deployment

A strong wave of AI adoption was evident as GITEX AI Asia 2026 opened at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from April 9–10, signalling the region’s growing focus on scaling real-world AI use cases.

The event saw participation from 110+ countries, with 750+ enterprises and startups, 250+ global investors, and over 23,000 tech buyers, making it one of Asia’s largest AI and technology gatherings.

Discussions across the event showed a clear shift from experimentation to implementation. Organisations are now prioritising how to deploy AI at scale, while managing challenges around infrastructure, energy consumption, and hardware availability.

The industry focus is also evolving. Instead of building larger models, companies are working towards improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and accelerating deployment across enterprise and industrial environments.

The event featured innovations across AI, cybersecurity, cloud, data centres, and digital infrastructure. It also saw strong participation from startups, enterprises, investors, and government bodies, reflecting deeper collaboration across the ecosystem.

Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a key hub for AI and deep-tech innovation in Asia, connecting regional markets with global capital and technology networks.

The mix of global and regional players highlights a broader trend in the AI industry. The focus is shifting toward scalability, optimisation, and faster deployment rather than just model expansion.

As AI adoption grows, factors such as infrastructure readiness, energy efficiency, and deployment capability are becoming critical in shaping the next phase of growth.
