Leaked details hint at Apple’s foldable iPhone with minimal crease and high-capacity battery

Fresh leaks have once again brought Apple’s first foldable iPhone into focus, offering new insights into its possible design and hardware. The device, widely expected to be called the iPhone Ultra, is said to feature a refined foldable structure with upgraded components, though the company has not confirmed any details.

According to a video by a known source, the device may come with a very minimal display crease of around 0.15mm. This is reportedly achieved using Samsung’s display technology combined with a liquid metal hinge built with 3D-printed parts. The phone is also expected to adopt a rear camera layout similar to Pixel devices.

The foldable iPhone is tipped to have a wider and shorter form factor compared to most foldable smartphones. It may measure about 9.5mm when folded and around 4.5mm when unfolded. For comparison, the iPhone Air is said to be 5.6mm thick, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 measures around 4.2mm when open.

Earlier reports suggest the device could feature self-healing glass and an improved hinge to reduce crease visibility and enhance durability. It may include a 7.8-inch main display and a 5.5-inch cover screen.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone Ultra is expected to offer a 48-megapixel primary sensor along with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Apple is also said to be testing an under-display camera for the inner screen, which could provide a more seamless viewing experience. The device may not include Face ID and could instead rely on Touch ID for security.

The phone is tipped to pack a 5,800mAh battery, which could be larger than many existing foldable devices. This may be possible due to the use of a smaller display driver.

The foldable iPhone is also expected to run on Apple’s A20 Pro chip, paired with 12GB RAM and an in-house C2 modem. Reports suggest the device could be priced above $2,000 (approx. Rs. 1,85,400) in the US.

These details remain speculative, and Apple has not officially confirmed any information.
