Strengthening its entry-level smartphone portfolio, Honor has introduced the Honor X5d Plus and Honor X5d in Malaysia. Both devices share the same design, dimensions, and colour options, and are now available for purchase through the brand’s online store.

The Honor X5d Plus is priced at MYR 459 (approx. Rs. 11,000) for the 4GB + 128GB variant, while the standard Honor X5d costs MYR 369 (approx. Rs. 9,000) for the 4GB + 64GB model. Both smartphones come in Midnight Black and Tidal Blue colour options.

In terms of specifications, the Honor X5d series runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0. The devices feature 6.74-inch TFT LCD displays with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, supporting 16.7 million colours along with Eye Comfort and Dynamic Dimming features.

Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core chipset, with 6 efficiency cores clocked at 1.7GHz and 2 performance cores reaching up to 2.0GHz. They also include ARM Mali G52 MC2 GPUs and 4GB RAM. Storage differs between models, with the X5d offering 64GB and the Plus variant providing 128GB.

For cameras, both phones include a dual rear setup with a QVGA 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. The key difference lies in the primary rear camera, where the X5d Plus features a 50-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, while the standard model has a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Both support up to 1080p video recording.

The devices are backed by a 5,260mAh battery with 15W wired charging support. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo.

Both models measure 167x77x7.89mm and weigh around 186g. Additional sensors include a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and gravity sensor.
