A key leadership move signals L’Oréal’s continued push to strengthen its global commercial strategy and accelerate growth across markets. Stijn’s appointment highlights the company’s focus on advancing commercial excellence, go-to-market transformation, and enterprise growth worldwide.

Demeersseman brings extensive international experience across commercial strategy, retail media, category leadership, and business transformation.

Before returning to L’Oréal, he held multiple senior roles at Amazon, including Head of UK Retail Media & Advertising Account Management, Chief of Staff Amazon Fashion Europe, and General Manager, Senior Category Leader UK/EU. These roles strengthened his expertise in retail media, advertising, P&L leadership, category growth, and strategic partnerships. He also served as a member of the advisory board at Shoptalk.

Earlier, he spent a significant part of his career at L’Oréal, holding leadership roles such as General Manager APAC Commercial Operations and Business Development, General Manager Australia Consumer Product Division, General Manager UK & Ireland Commercial Operations, and Commercial Director Belgium & Luxembourg. These roles reflect his strong track record in commercial operations, customer strategy, e-commerce acceleration, and regional growth leadership.

Prior to that, he spent over 10 years with Procter & Gamble, where he held roles including Customer Business Development Belgium Teamleader, Category Commercial Strategy Western Europe, Market Strategy & Planning Fabric Care Belgium & Luxembourg, Key Account Executive Colruyt, Key Account Executive Carrefour, Account Manager, and Field Representative.

With experience spanning L’Oréal, Amazon, Shoptalk, and Procter & Gamble, Demeersseman brings a well-rounded commercial leadership profile. His appointment is expected to support L’Oréal’s global growth strategy and strengthen its commercial evolution across markets.
