In a move to strengthen its global capabilities, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has announced the launch of a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru. The expansion is aimed at accelerating its digital transformation and supporting its “Always Forward” growth strategy.
The new GCC will focus on key areas such as enterprise data analytics, AI-led customer personalisation, and improving omnichannel shopping experiences for brands like Hollister and Gilly Hicks. The company said the centre will act as an extension of its Global Home Office, promoting innovation and collaboration across teams.
This development further strengthens Bengaluru’s position as a leading global hub for retail technology. The city continues to attract multinational companies looking to leverage India’s strong digital and analytics talent pool. The rise of GCCs has also become a major driver of commercial real estate growth in the region, especially in North Bengaluru.
By setting up operations in Bengaluru, Abercrombie & Fitch joins several Fortune 500 companies already present in the city’s mature technology ecosystem. The GCC is expected to support the company’s goal of scaling global revenues to $5 billion by enabling round-the-clock digital operations and faster technology development.
The expansion comes amid strong momentum in the GCC sector, which has seen record office leasing activity in Q1 2026 due to rising demand from global firms.
The company is currently hiring for multiple roles in digital technology, supply chain analytics, and corporate strategy. Employees at the new centre will play a key role in driving the company’s digital-first approach and global growth plans.
The growth of GCCs is also boosting demand for premium housing in Bengaluru. Areas near tech hubs such as Manyata Tech Park and Hebbal are seeing increased interest from professionals working in these centres.
