NASA Artemis II crew shares rare Moon views and zero-gravity moments during historic mission

In a remarkable journey beyond Earth, the crew of Artemis II is capturing stunning visuals as they travel toward the Moon, offering a rare glimpse into space exploration.

This 10-day mission marks the first time in over 50 years that astronauts have ventured this close to the lunar surface. The mission is also testing NASA’s Orion spacecraft and the powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.

Among the highlights is a striking image of the Moon seen through a spacecraft window, taken just before the crew prepared for a pre-flyby rest.

Beyond scientific work, the crew has been sharing moments from daily life in zero gravity. Their updates include glowing images of Earth, rare views of both sides of the Moon, and visuals of the less-seen Orientale basin.

These photo releases also capture candid moments from inside the spacecraft, showing how astronauts adapt to life in space.

Although the mission lasts 10 days, the images and updates have already brought space closer to people on Earth, offering a unique perspective on both the Moon and daily astronaut life.
