US homeowner sells property for $954800 using ChatGPT, skips agent fees

In a striking example of AI’s growing real-world impact, a US homeowner successfully sold his house for nearly $1 million using ChatGPT to manage the entire process, according to a news report.

Robert Levine, a resident of Miami, chose to rely on the AI tool instead of hiring a real estate agent. From pricing and marketing to negotiations and paperwork, he used ChatGPT at every stage of the sale and managed to close the deal within just 5 days.

Levine said he wanted to test whether AI could handle a complete home-selling journey. He used ChatGPT to determine the pricing strategy, prepare the property listing, and create marketing content. The tool also guided him on the best time to list the house, which helped attract buyers quickly.

Within 3 days of listing, Levine received 5 offers and finalised the deal in less than a week. He highlighted that ChatGPT even suggested small but impactful improvements to boost the property’s value.

“We repainted a couple of rooms in the house because ChatGPT said that’s where you’re going to get the biggest return on investment,” Levine said.

The house was eventually sold for $954800, around $100000 higher than estimates provided by local real estate agents. Levine noted that using AI not only helped him secure a better price but also saved him money on agent commissions.

He added that the process gave him greater confidence in setting the right price and managing the sale independently.
