Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for transforming Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) temples into advanced, technology-enabled spiritual centres.
During a review at the AI-based Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Tirumala, he stressed the need to combine spirituality with modern systems to improve efficiency while maintaining temple sanctity.
Naidu directed officials to ensure real-time monitoring of all services—from entry into queue lines to completion of darshan—through the command centre. The aim is to identify issues early and resolve them quickly, reducing inconvenience for devotees.
He also emphasised the use of technologies such as AI, CCTV, and facial recognition to strengthen security, improve transparency, and streamline operations across temples.
The ICCC currently supports crowd management by tracking movement, predicting waiting times, and improving queue systems for thousands of daily visitors. Officials noted that these tools are already enhancing planning and resource utilisation.
In addition, the Chief Minister called for:
- Expansion of medical services under the Pranadanam initiative
- Strengthening of Annadanam (free meal) programmes
- Better training and utilisation of Srivari Seva volunteers
- Measures to maintain a pollution-free Tirumala
He also asked authorities to prepare plans for building more temples to promote spiritual awareness and expand outreach.
Naidu said TTD’s governance and operational model should serve as a benchmark for temples across India, highlighting a vision that blends tradition with modern infrastructure.
The initiative reflects a broader push to modernise temple management while improving the overall experience for devotees.
