Huawei is extending its digital payment capabilities by bringing Curve Pay to a wider range of its smartwatches, following its initial rollout with the Watch GT Runner 2.
Curve Pay is a digital wallet solution that allows users to link multiple debit and credit cards into a single platform. This enables smartwatch users to make payments using one device while switching between cards when needed.
The feature supports major card networks such as Visa and Mastercard. It also offers added benefits like cashback tools, auto card fallback, and the ability to change the payment source even after a transaction. Importantly, the system does not share actual card details during payments, enhancing security.
After debuting on the Watch GT Runner 2, Huawei has now expanded Curve Pay support to several devices, including:
- Watch GT Runner 2
- Watch GT 6
- Watch GT 6 Pro
- Watch GT 5
- Watch GT 5 Pro
- Watch Ultimate 2
- Watch 5
- Watch Fit 4 series
To use the feature, users need to install the Curve Pay app via AppGallery on their Huawei smartphone and create a Curve account using a debit or credit card. They must then access the Huawei Health app, select their smartwatch, and install the Curve app.
A PIN setup on the smartwatch is mandatory for enabling payments. Once configured, users can link the app by navigating to the Curve interface and activating the wearable integration.
Huawei noted that while most supported devices can access the feature immediately, the Watch Fit 4 series may receive full compatibility soon.
This rollout reflects Huawei’s push to strengthen its wearable ecosystem with integrated digital payment capabilities.
