Expanding its presence into a new market, Oura has launched its first Smart Ring in India, introducing the Oura Ring 4 to the country’s growing wearable segment.
The Oura Ring 4, which debuted globally around 2 years ago, focuses on health tracking, sleep analysis and recovery insights. It works with the Oura App and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) connectivity. The device also features Smart Sensing technology for improved accuracy in tracking health and activity data.
Price and availability
The Oura Ring 4 starts at Rs. 28,900 for Black and Silver variants, while Brushed Silver, Rose Gold and Stealth options are priced at Rs. 39,900.
It comes in 12 sizes ranging from 4 to 15. The Smart Ring will be available online and across 100 Croma stores starting March 18.
The company also offers a monthly subscription priced at Rs. 599, which provides deeper health insights and enhanced tracking features.
Features and specifications
The Oura Ring 4 has a lightweight, non-allergenic all-titanium build with up to 100m water resistance. It measures 7.90mm in width and 2.8mm in thickness, and weighs between 3.3g and 5.2g depending on size.
The ring uses Smart Sensing technology with advanced algorithms and research-grade sensors for personalised health insights. Its accuracy has been validated by institutions such as the University of Tokyo and the National University of Singapore.
At its core is an 18-path multi-wavelength photoplethysmography (PPG) system that continuously tracks biometric data. This includes resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep stages and temperature trends.
The device also uses red and infrared LEDs to measure blood oxygen levels during sleep. Green and infrared LEDs track heart rate, HRV and respiration rate. An accelerometer monitors activity levels, while a digital temperature sensor tracks body temperature changes.
The Oura Ring 4 offers up to 8 days of battery life on a single charge. Charging takes between 20 and 80 minutes depending on the battery level. It comes with a proprietary size-specific charger.
