The annual developer gathering hosted by Nvidia is set to begin soon, bringing major announcements related to artificial intelligence and future computing technologies. The event, known as Nvidia GTC, will open with a keynote from CEO Jensen Huang scheduled for Monday at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.
The conference will take place in San Jose, where Huang’s keynote will be delivered live at the SAP Centre. The presentation is expected to last about 2 hours and will focus on Nvidia’s role in shaping the future of computing and artificial intelligence. Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch the keynote through a livestream on the official event website. The 3-day event will explore the next wave of AI innovations across industries including healthcare, robotics and autonomous vehicles.
On the software front, reports suggest Nvidia may introduce an open-source platform for enterprise AI agents called NemoClaw. The platform is expected to help businesses build and deploy AI agents capable of performing complex, multi-step tasks independently. If launched, the tool could position Nvidia alongside other companies offering enterprise AI agent platforms, including OpenAI.
Hardware announcements may also take centre stage. Nvidia is rumoured to unveil a new chip designed to accelerate AI inference, the stage where AI models apply learned knowledge to generate responses or make decisions. Improving inference speed and cost is widely seen as a key challenge for scaling AI applications. The new chip could strengthen Nvidia’s position in the AI market, where it already controls an estimated 80% share of the training segment while facing rising competition from custom chips developed by companies such as Google and Amazon. Industry observers also expect updates about Nvidia’s relationship with Groq, the inference company whose technology Nvidia reportedly licensed for $20 billion last year, with executives including Jonathan Ross and Sunny Madra joining Nvidia to help scale the technology. Additional partnership announcements and demonstrations highlighting Nvidia’s AI capabilities are also expected during the event.
