India’s home appliance manufacturing ecosystem is set to see a new collaboration aimed at strengthening local production capabilities. Nuuk has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Zetwerk to develop scalable and high-quality appliance manufacturing in India.
The partnership is part of Nuuk’s long-term strategy to deepen localisation, build stronger industrial capabilities and align its manufacturing processes with global standards as the brand expands its product portfolio.
As part of the initiative, Sanjiv Rangrass, Non-Executive Independent Director at Zetwerk, has been appointed as Nuuk’s Make-in-India Advisor. He brings decades of operational experience and will help guide the company’s manufacturing strategy and roadmap.
Under the agreement, Zetwerk will act as Nuuk’s manufacturing partner for select appliance categories, including fans and heaters. The collaboration will focus on progressive localisation and building scalable production systems.
The roadmap for the partnership includes joint product development, pilot manufacturing programs and the creation of strong testing and reliability facilities. These initiatives aim to support quality-driven production and ensure that manufacturing processes meet global standards.
Nuuk co-founders Gazal Kalra and Shalabh Gupta said the partnership reflects the company’s ambition to combine design, technology and manufacturing excellence. “For us, Make in India is not simply a tagline but a commitment to building and manufacturing in India at global standards.
With Sanjiv’s appointment, we strengthen our ability to build responsibly with quality at the core,” they noted.
Looking ahead, Nuuk plans to expand its Make-in-India initiatives across key appliance categories. The company aims to anchor its next phase of growth around strong manufacturing capabilities.
By moving beyond product innovation to build industrial capacity, Nuuk intends to play a larger role in shaping how modern consumer brands design, manufacture and scale products in India.
