NEURA Robotics and Qualcomm join forces to scale humanoid and cognitive robotics with physical AI

A new strategic collaboration between NEURA Robotics and Qualcomm Technologies aims to accelerate the development of next-generation robotics and physical AI systems. The long-term partnership brings together Qualcomm Technologies’ expertise in AI computing, connectivity, and robotics platforms with NEURA’s advanced robotics systems and embodied AI software.

The collaboration focuses on building intelligent robots designed to work safely and efficiently alongside humans across industrial, service, household, and other environments. By combining high-performance and power-efficient edge AI with complete robotic platforms, the companies aim to move robotics from research labs to large-scale real-world deployment.

A key part of the partnership will focus on “Brain + Nervous System” reference architectures. These systems combine high-level cognitive capabilities such as perception, reasoning, and planning with ultra-low-latency real-time control required for robotics. Qualcomm Technologies’ robotics processors, including the Dragonwing IQ10 Series, physical AI acceleration technologies, software stack, and connectivity platforms will be integrated with NEURA’s robotics hardware and embodied AI software.

The companies will also align Qualcomm Technologies’ end-to-end robotics architecture, which includes heterogeneous edge computing, edge AI, mixed-criticality systems, software, machine learning operations, and an AI data flywheel, with NEURA’s platform strategy. This approach aims to enable stronger deployment across different robotic systems and form factors.

To simplify how physical AI moves from development to production, the partnership includes plans for a standardized runtime and deployment interface. This system will help manage how AI workloads are deployed, validated, and updated across robotic platforms while maintaining reliability and consistent performance.

The collaboration will also leverage NEURA’s Neuraverse platform for simulation, training, orchestration, and lifecycle management of physical AI workloads for NEURA robots powered by Dragonwing robotics processors. Neuraverse is described as the first cloud-based platform connecting cognitive robots into a shared intelligence network, allowing breakthroughs from one robot to be applied across entire fleets.

The companies also plan to build a global developer ecosystem and marketplace for robotics and physical AI applications, encouraging third-party innovation and enabling developers to build once and deploy across multiple robotic systems.

NEURA’s robotic systems, including robotic arms, mobile robots, service and household robots, and humanoid platforms, may serve as reference platforms for development, testing, and real-world validation. The collaboration prioritizes functional safety, real-time responsiveness, and human-centric design.

“This collaboration marks a major step toward making physical AI real: open, scalable, and trusted,” said David Reger, CEO and Founder of NEURA Robotics. “By bringing together our cognitive robotics platforms and the Neuraverse ecosystem with Qualcomm Technologies’ leadership in edge AI and connectivity, we’re aiming to accelerate a future where cognitive robots operate safely alongside humans across industries and throughout everyday life.”

“Robotics represents one of the most demanding edge AI use cases, where decisions must happen instantly, reliably, and locally, without relying solely on the cloud for safety-critical responses,” said Nakul Duggal, EVP and Group GM, Automotive, Industrial and Embedded IoT and Robotics at Qualcomm Technologies. “Qualcomm Technologies has a long-standing presence in robotics, and continued ecosystem development with companies like NEURA Robotics helps accelerate scalable, on-device intelligence. NEURA’s approach to cognitive robotics reflects a growing shift toward bringing perception and reasoning directly onto the device.”

Through this partnership, NEURA Robotics and Qualcomm Technologies aim to accelerate the commercialization of humanoid and general-purpose robots, helping bring physical AI from experimental systems into scalable real-world deployment across industries.
