OnePlus 15T expected to debut with similar camera setup and enhanced hardware

Fresh leaks indicate that OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 15T as the successor to last year’s OnePlus 13T. While an official announcement is still awaited, new details suggest that the upcoming model could carry forward much of the previous generation’s camera hardware, but with a higher price tag.

According to a Weibo post by tipster Old Chen Air, the OnePlus 15T is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup comprising a Sony Lytia 700 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, along with a Samsung JN5 sensor with OIS and an f/2.8 aperture. Although the megapixel count was not specified, both sensors are anticipated to be 50-megapixel units. For comparison, the OnePlus 13T offers a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture. If the leak is accurate, the key change could be a narrower f/2.8 aperture on the telephoto lens.

The tipster also hinted in the comments that the OnePlus 15T will be priced higher than its predecessor. The OnePlus 13T was launched at CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs. 39,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant. The new model is said to debut in China next month and could feature a 6.32-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB onboard storage. It may pack a 7,500mAh battery and support 100W wired charging along with wireless charging. The phone is expected to be available in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB configurations, in Cloud Ink Black, Morning Mist Grey and Powder (pink) colour options.
