Bihar has moved to strengthen its artificial intelligence ecosystem by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Tiger Analytics to establish a Mega Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) in the state. The agreement was formalised at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, in the presence of senior officials and industry leaders.
The proposed centre aims to become one of India’s largest AI ecosystem hubs. It will focus on talent development, innovation and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence.
The AI CoE will be developed in collaboration with IIT Patna as the knowledge partner, along with other ecosystem stakeholders. The initiative will support research, infrastructure creation and AI-enabled citizen services. A major component of the project will be large-scale upskilling programmes designed to equip students, professionals and institutions across Bihar with skills required for an AI-driven economy.
As the industry partner, Tiger Analytics will bring its global expertise to design and deliver AI training programmes for students, working professionals and government officials. The company will also undertake applied research aligned with Bihar’s development priorities and build scalable AI solutions to enhance governance and public service delivery.
Mahesh Kumar, CEO and Founder of Tiger Analytics, said, “Bihar has always been a land of intellectual heritage, and we believe it is ready to become a beacon of AI-led transformation. Our work through the Mega AI Centre of Excellence is focused on building real capability so that AI becomes a genuine engine of progress.”
Bihar’s Information Technology Minister Shreyasi Singh said, “The Bihar AI Mission is our commitment to ensuring that the benefits of artificial intelligence reach every corner of our state. The Mega AI CoE represents our resolve to position Bihar at the forefront of India’s AI journey.”
At the AI Impact Expo held alongside the summit, Tiger Analytics showcased AI applications for public systems at the Bihar Pavilion, highlighting opportunities in data engineering, machine learning and analytics.
The initiative reflects stronger collaboration between government, academia and industry to translate AI innovation into practical impact.
