A new addition to the C-series smartphone lineup appears to be nearing launch as certification filings begin to surface. The Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has reportedly listed its upcoming Poco C81 Pro on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) database, hinting that the device may soon be officially unveiled.
The listing reveals the model number 25128PC17G along with certification number B38077-26. According to the database details, the handset supports GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks, suggesting that it will not include 5G connectivity. The smartphone is confirmed to be manufactured in China.
The certification details also indicate that the Poco C81 Pro could arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro, which has recently appeared across multiple certification platforms with model numbers 25128RN17Y and 25128RN17A. Its presence on NBTC suggests the device is in its final stages before release.
Leaks and rumours point to a 6.9-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to run HyperOS 3 based on Android 15 Go edition. It may be powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The device is also tipped to include a 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging support.
For comparison, the brand launched the Poco C85 5G in India in December last year at a starting price of Rs. 12,499. The device features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and runs on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Additional highlights of the Poco C85 5G include a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, an IP64-rated build, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging.
