Apple is set to expand its retail footprint in India with the launch of Apple Borivali, its second store in Mumbai and sixth physical outlet in the country.
The new store will open on February 26 at 1:00 pm IST at Sky City Mall in Borivali, located off the Western Express Highway. The launch comes 3 years after Apple opened Apple BKC at Jio World Drive Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, which marked its first official retail store in India in August 2023.
Apple Borivali will offer full product sales, in-store pickup services, and technical support through the Genius Bar. The store will also host Today at Apple sessions, allowing customers to explore device features and learn new skills. One-to-one shopping assistance will be available through Apple specialists, including dedicated support for business customers.
Apart from its 2 stores in Mumbai, Apple’s other retail outlets in India include Apple Saket, Apple Hebbal, Apple Noida, and Apple Koregaon Park. Apple Noida, located at DLF Mall of India, recently became the company’s fifth store in the country.
Plans for the second Mumbai outlet first surfaced when Apple reported record revenue for the December quarter, signaling continued growth in the Indian market.
A recent report also suggested that Apple may open its first store in Hyderabad. The company has posted senior hiring roles, including Manager, Senior Manager, and Store Leader, for its retail division in the city. While Apple has not confirmed the exact location or opening date, recruitment activity indicates preparations are underway. If launched, it would become Apple’s seventh store in India.
In addition, Apple is reportedly planning a 20,000 sq ft corporate office in Chennai at DLF CyberCity, Porur. The proposed Global Capability Centre is expected to manage key global operations, reflecting Apple’s expansion beyond manufacturing in India.
