Ramco Systems launches Chia to expand into agentic AI for enterprise automation

Ramco Systems has stepped into the fast growing agentic AI space with the launch of Chia, a conversational AI agent platform built to automate complex enterprise customer interactions. The global enterprise software provider is positioning Chia as part of its AI driven task automation suite, rTask. The platform is designed to go beyond traditional chatbots by executing complete workflows across enterprise systems. Ramco says Chia can help businesses reduce manual effort, shorten response times and lower operating costs while delivering consistent customer experiences at scale.

Unlike basic conversational tools that only respond to queries, Chia is built to “reason, decide and act”, managing multi step backend processes across Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Information Technology Service Management and Human Resources Information System platforms. The system operates within defined compliance frameworks and organisational guardrails. This allows companies to move from human in the loop models to exception based oversight, where AI handles routine workflows and escalates only when required. Abinav Ramasubramaniam Raja, Managing Director of Ramco Systems, called the launch a strategic milestone. “Chia addresses a rapidly growing global market need for AI systems that are not just conversational, but truly agentic—capable of reasoning, acting and delivering measurable outcomes,” he said.

At the core of Chia is a no code AI Agent Foundry that allows customer experience teams to design and deploy AI agents using plain English instructions. Its Natural Language Workflow capability enables teams to define rules such as refund eligibility, booking validation or policy enforcement in simple language. The platform converts these inputs into deterministic AI actions, which Ramco says helps prevent hallucinations and ensures reliable execution. The company claims organisations can deploy their first production grade AI agent within weeks.

Key features include a natural language workflow builder, multi step orchestration of specialised agents, omni channel conversational support across email and messaging platforms, real time system integrations, enterprise knowledge search, multilingual and multimodal inputs and human in the loop escalation with full context transfer. It also offers role based access controls, encryption, audit logs and workflow explainability tools for compliance and governance. Ramco is targeting sectors such as e commerce, travel and hospitality, financial services, technology and SaaS, healthcare, telecom and media. “As our first AI native product, Chia marks a significant milestone in Ramco’s transformation journey. It is the beginning of a broader roadmap, with many more AI native innovations planned across our portfolio,” Raja said. Sandesh Bilagi, President and Chief Operating Officer, added, “Customers today expect accuracy, speed and seamless support across every touchpoint,” and said, “Chia rises to this challenge by enabling enterprises to automate complex customer interactions with confidence and control. As Chia enables teams to deploy production grade AI Agents in weeks, not months, organisations can modernise their support operations quickly while delivering faster and more consistent customer experiences.” With this launch, Ramco joins other enterprise software players shifting toward agentic AI systems capable of executing business workflows.
