Reliance Consumer Products acquires Manna Foods in ₹156.42 crore all-cash deal

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited, has completed the acquisition of Southern Health Foods Private Limited, the company behind the South Indian brand Manna. The all-cash transaction worth ₹156.42 crore was finalised on February 9, 2026, making Southern Health Foods a wholly-owned subsidiary of RCPL.

Manna is widely recognised for its millet-based foods, health-focused staples, and baby nutrition products. The brand has built strong trust in Tamil Nadu over more than 20 years of presence in the market.

The acquisition strengthens RCPL’s expanding health and nutrition portfolio. It also deepens the company’s presence in the fast-growing millet-based and functional foods segment, which is seeing rising consumer demand across India.

Manna will now complement RCPL’s existing portfolio, which includes brands such as Udhaiyam, Independence, and SiL. The move aligns with the company’s broader strategy of delivering global-quality products at affordable prices to consumers nationwide.

With increasing awareness around healthy eating and millet-rich diets, RCPL plans to leverage its extensive distribution network to scale Manna beyond its strong regional base. The company aims to take the brand to a pan-India audience and strengthen its position in the competitive FMCG sector.

The transaction reflects a clear strategy of inorganic growth to accelerate category leadership in India’s evolving consumer goods market.
