Meta AI, which has been slower than platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude in rolling out new features, is reportedly working on major updates to enhance its AI platform. A recent report suggests the tech giant is exploring new models, AI agents, and broader interoperability options to improve user experience.
According to a testing report, multiple new internal modes have been spotted in the Meta AI codebase, beyond the existing Fast and Thinking modes. Among these, two AI models named Avocado and Avocado Thinking were found. While the Avocado model is reportedly functional, early tests indicate it does not yet improve response quality, possibly due to server rerouting through existing models.
The report also highlighted references to Sierra, linked to Manus AI, a company Meta acquired in December 2025 for its autonomous AI agent technology. This suggests that Meta may integrate a browser-based AI agent using Manus AI’s capabilities, though details remain unclear.
Additionally, Meta appears to be preparing support for OpenClaw (formerly Clawd and Moltbot). Code references suggest users might be able to connect any AI model via their API key, creating what is described as an “OpenClaw agent.” How this will function in practice is not yet known.
It is important to note that these findings are based solely on code snippets and internal references. They do not guarantee that the features will be released or will appear in the form currently seen in the code. Users should treat these developments as potential updates rather than confirmed launches.
The potential upgrades signal Meta’s intent to expand AI functionality, improve interoperability with external models, and introduce AI agents, aligning with trends seen across other major AI platforms.
