Thales to add 450 jobs in India as part of global hiring push

A steady expansion of technology and engineering operations is underway as a French technology major outlines fresh hiring plans for India, aligned with its broader global workforce growth strategy.

French tech giant Thales plans to hire 450 professionals in India in 2026. The roles will be spread across its Engineering Competence Centres in Bengaluru and Noida, along with other business functions. This hiring is part of a wider global recruitment drive, with over 9,000 new hires planned worldwide this year across defence, aerospace, cybersecurity and digital innovation.

A significant share of these opportunities is aimed at engineers. Around 40% of the planned global hires are for engineers specialising in software, cybersecurity, AI and data. In addition, nearly 25% of the roles are industrial positions, including technicians, operators and engineers supporting core operations.

Thales is also focusing on early-career talent. More than 120 engineering interns have already joined the India team in recent months, signalling a strong push to build future-ready skills within the organisation.

Beyond India, Thales is expanding its workforce across multiple regions, including France, the UK and North America. The company has also highlighted its focus on diversity. In 2025, women accounted for 33% of all recruitments in India.

With its emphasis on advanced technologies, global exposure and inclusive hiring, the recruitment drive positions Thales as a key employer for professionals looking to build careers in high-impact technology domains.
