Meta AI may add new models agents and broader integration options

Meta is reportedly preparing a major upgrade for its AI chatbot as it looks to close the gap with rival platforms. While competitors such as ChatGPT Gemini and Claude have moved faster with new tools and features Meta AI has seen slower progress so far. A new report now suggests that this could change soon with several additions aimed at improving capability flexibility and overall user experience.

According to a report by a tracking platform Meta is working on multiple upgrades for its AI service. Evidence of these features was found within the code of the Meta AI website though they are not yet available to users. The changes reportedly focus on better interoperability including support for Anthropic Model Context Protocol and the introduction of AI agents alongside improvements to the core platform.

The report claims Meta AI may introduce new internal modes beyond Fast and Thinking. References to 2 new models called Avocado and Avocado Thinking were also found. While Avocado is said to be functional it did not show noticeable improvements in response quality during early testing. This could be because requests are still being routed through existing models. In addition the code reportedly includes mentions of a model called Sierra which may be linked to Manus AI. Meta acquired Manus AI in December 2025 and the references suggest the possible addition of a browser based AI agent though its exact role remains unclear.

Meta is also reportedly planning to support OpenClaw, formerly known as Clawd and Moltbot. Code references suggest users may be able to connect external models using their own API keys with the setup described as an “OpenClaw agent”. How this experience would work in practice has not been detailed yet. Since all information is based on internal code references there is no confirmation that these features will reach users or launch in their current form. Readers are advised to treat the details cautiously until Meta makes an official announcement.
