A senior leadership update at J.P. Morgan signals a sharper focus on private markets and portfolio strategy for high-net-worth clients. In his new role, Adam will lead portfolio construction and investment advisory for high-net-worth (HNW) clients. He will also serve as a Member of the Alternative Investments Investment Committee, contributing to strategic investment decisions.
As part of his responsibilities, Fegan will source and underwrite funds, co-investments, and secondaries across global markets. He will also build and manage discretionary and evergreen private market portfolios, strengthening the firm’s private market offerings for clients.
In January 2026, Fegan formally stepped into the Executive Director role. His focus includes portfolio construction, private market strategy, and tailored advisory solutions for HNW clients. His inclusion on the Alternative Investments Investment Committee reflects his experience in investment assessment and portfolio design.
Before this appointment, he had been with J.P. Morgan Private Bank since November 2023, working in Private Portfolio Solutions and supporting private bank clients with customized investment strategies.
Earlier, Fegan spent over 8 years at British International Investment (BII), formerly CDC Group. Most recently, he served as Director, Co-Investment Lead, where he established the co-investment function, created the strategy and execution framework, and completed co-investments across multiple regions and sectors to support both financial returns and impact goals. Prior to this, he worked as an Investment Manager, leading fund and co-investment transactions across South Asia and Africa, managing GP and portfolio company relationships, and ensuring strong financial and ESG oversight.
He also served in the Chief Investment Officer’s Office at BII as Manager, acting as a strategic advisor on investment risk, asset allocation, and portfolio strategy. In this role, he built and led the Investment Management & Analytics team and contributed to board-level reporting and portfolio system governance.
Before BII, Fegan spent over 5 years at Pantheon Ventures as Global Head of Performance, Risk and Analytics. He founded and led the global analytics and investment risk function, chaired the investment risk committee, and supported research and portfolio construction for global private equity portfolios.
Fegan began his career at Bloomberg as a Senior Equity Analyst, building a strong foundation in financial analysis that shaped his later work across risk, performance, asset allocation, co-investments, and private markets.
