A new leadership appointment signals a stronger focus on people strategy at one of India’s most established hospitality groups. HCI), a subsidiary of AI Assets Holding Limited, has appointed Nishi Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, she will lead the company’s HR strategy and strengthen people practices in line with HCI’s transformation and business priorities.
Nishi Singh brings over 3 decades of experience in strategic HR leadership, talent management, employee engagement, industrial relations, policy formulation, CSR, and organizational development. Her appointment is expected to further enhance HCI’s people leadership as the company advances its legacy in the hospitality sector.
Before joining HCI, she spent nearly 5 years at NTPC Limited in senior HR and governance roles. She served for almost 2 years as Additional General Manager (Vigilance), managing vigilance administration, policy matters, preventive vigilance, and training and development. During this period, she supported recognition for NTPC by the Chief Vigilance Commission. Earlier, she worked for over 2 years as Additional General Manager (HR) at the Jhanor Gandhar Gas Power Project in Gujarat, leading HR strategy, employee engagement, talent and performance management, industrial relations, and CSR initiatives, for which she received HR and CSR awards.
She also served for close to 1 year as Additional General Manager (HR) at Nabinagar Power Generation Company Limited in Bihar, contributing to change management, culture building, contract labor management, HR development, welfare, brand building, liaison with state authorities, and business excellence initiatives.
Over 8 years, Nishi held senior HR leadership roles at NTPC, including Additional General Manager (HR) at NTPC Eastern Region Headquarters in Patna. There, she led talent management, oversaw CSR for 5 NTPC stations, and headed a business excellence project that improved station ratings. Prior to this, she worked for more than 5 years at NTPC Energy Technology and Research Alliance in Greater Noida, progressing from Deputy General Manager (HR) to Additional General Manager (HR), leading HR for the research wing and shaping learning and enterprise HR systems.
Earlier in her career, she served as Senior Manager (HR) at NTPC Electric Supply Company Limited in Noida and at NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited in Delhi. She began her career at NTPC as an Executive Trainee, later working from Personnel Officer to Manager (HR) at the Southern Region Headquarters in Hyderabad.
Nishi Singh has completed a 3-year “Customized HR Competency Framework & Certification Program” in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
