In a key leadership move, Ashok Leyland Limited has announced the appointment of Jasmeet Bhatia as , effective January 27, 2026. He succeeds Raja Radhakrishnan, who has been serving as President & Head HR. Raja Radhakrishnan will now take up a new role managing Special Projects for Ashok Leyland and the wider Hinduja Group, while continuing his engagement at the group level.
In his new position, Jasmeet Bhatia will lead the company’s people strategy. His focus will be on strengthening leadership capability, improving talent systems, shaping culture, and enhancing organizational effectiveness. These efforts will support Ashok Leyland’s goals across operations, manufacturing excellence, and business growth.
Before joining Ashok Leyland, Jasmeet spent a little over 5 years at Thermax Limited as Chief Human Resource Officer & Executive Vice President. There, he led HR strategy for a large industrial organization and strengthened talent systems, leadership development, and people transformation aligned with business priorities.
Earlier, he worked for nearly 5 years at Carrier Corporation. He held senior roles including HR Director – India and later HR Director South Asia Pacific. In these roles, he guided HR across multi-location operations and supported workforce strategy, organizational capability building, and leadership alignment across the region.
He also served at Valvoline for close to 1 year as Vice President Human Resources, where he supported people strategy in a focused and performance-driven environment.
Jasmeet built a strong HR leadership base over nearly 8 years at Honeywell Automation India Ltd. He held several roles, including Director Human Resources, HR Head – Honeywell Turbo, HR Leader – Honeywell International, and Country HR Manager – UOP. His work covered strategic HR partnering, labor relations, organizational design, change management, and capability development across sales and manufacturing operations in India.
In the early stage of his career, he worked with MaFoi as Senior Consultant, Mphasis as Unit Manager, and CES as HR Manager, gaining experience in consulting, people operations, and workforce management.
Education
Jasmeet Bhatia holds an MBA in HR from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon
