A senior leadership addition has been made at Ola Electric as the company strengthens its legal and regulatory framework to support rapid expansion in electric mobility and manufacturing.
Based in Bengaluru, he will lead the company’s legal strategy, regulatory engagement, corporate governance, and public policy initiatives. His role brings together key functions such as company secretarial work, law enforcement interface, and corporate affairs into a single, unified leadership structure. This move is aimed at supporting innovation-led growth while ensuring strong compliance across Ola Electric’s expanding ecosystem in India and global markets.
Chopra brings over 19 years of legal experience across sectors including electric vehicle manufacturing, technology, e-commerce, fintech, FMCG, alco-bev, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and logistics.
Before joining Ola Electric, he served as Group General Counsel at TruKKer. Earlier, he held senior legal leadership roles at Flipkart, United Breweries Ltd., and within the Ola Group. His career also includes stints at PepsiCo and leading law firms such as Amarchand & Mangaldas and J. Sagar Associates.
His appointment highlights Ola Electric’s focus on building a strong legal and governance foundation as it scales operations and manufacturing capacity. The company is also strengthening its engagement with regulators and policymakers to support long-term, sustainable growth.
Chopra has been recognised by platforms such as Forbes GC Powerlist, Legal 500, Legal Era, BW Legal World, and SILF for his work in the legal domain. These recognitions reflect his experience in managing complex legal environments across large and fast-growing businesses.
