JioHotstar has introduced a new monthly subscription structure for new users, making its content more accessible and affordable. The streaming platform now offers monthly plans across all three tiers, starting from Rs. 79 per month, alongside the existing quarterly and annual options. The move comes as JioHotstar adapts to changing viewing habits and increased consumption on large screens.
The platform continues to offer three subscription tiers: Mobile, Super and Premium. The Mobile and Super plans are ad-supported, which means viewers will see ads while streaming content. The Mobile plan costs Rs. 79 per month and allows streaming on one mobile-only device in 720p HD. Quarterly and yearly subscriptions are priced at Rs. 149 and Rs. 499. Hollywood content is not included in the base Mobile plan but can be added for Rs. 49 per month or bundled as Rs. 129 quarterly and Rs. 399 yearly.
The Super plan provides access on two devices at the same time in 1080p full HD across mobile, web and supported living room devices. It is priced at Rs. 149 per month, with quarterly and yearly options available at Rs. 349 and Rs. 1,099 respectively. Hollywood content is included in this plan, giving viewers a wider range of entertainment without additional costs.
The Premium plan at JioHotstar, designed for families and large-screen users, costs Rs. 299 per month and supports up to four simultaneous streams in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision. Quarterly and annual subscriptions are priced at Rs. 699 and Rs. 2,199. This tier offers ad-free content across the platform, except for live sports and live shows, which remain ad-supported. All monthly plans will become effective from January 28.
