Rahul brings 28 years of leadership experience across South-East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the United States, Latin America, and India, with exposure spanning FMCG, services, luxury retail, manufacturing, and consulting.
Rahul’s appointment adds broad strategic depth to CEAT’s people agenda. His career reflects extensive work across complex, multi-geography organizations, giving him a well-rounded perspective on talent, culture, and organizational capability.
Before joining CEAT Limited, Rahul served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Pidilite Industries Limited. Based in Mumbai, he led the people strategy for one of India’s leading emerging market multinationals, supporting business growth through progressive HR practices and capability building.
Earlier, Rahul spent close to 14 years with the Godrej Group in senior HR leadership roles. He served as Group Head – HR Experience Centre & Technology, and as CHRO for Godrej Agrovet Ltd and Godrej Industries Ltd. In these roles, he led HR for a diversified portfolio covering FMCG, chemicals, animal feed, and agri businesses, while also driving shared services, HR technology, digitalization, and analytics across the Group.
A significant part of his career includes over 12 years as Chief Human Resources Officer at Godrej Consumer Products Limited. During this period, Rahul led HR globally for a multi-continent FMCG organization, supporting transformation, global expansion, and acquisition integration across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States.
Rahul’s earlier roles include serving as Vice President – Human Resources at Sara Lee, where he led HR for the joint venture with the Godrej Group. He also spent nearly 10 years at Marico Limited as Head – Corporate HR, overseeing multiple HR centers of excellence and setting up HR for Kaya Ltd., a premium skincare services and retail brand. He began his professional journey at Arvind Limited, handling employee relations at manufacturing units after starting as a management trainee.
