Olayinka Majekodunmi takes on an expanded role as Managing Director & Partner at BCG

In this role, he will continue advising senior executives and institutions on transformative strategy, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Olayinka has spent the last 5 years at Boston Consulting Group, progressing steadily through the firm’s leadership ranks. Most recently a Partner, he previously served as Principal, where he led several high-impact engagements spanning corporate strategy, digital transformation, and climate resilience.

His work has included thought leadership on protecting coastal cities from climate change and supporting organizations as they rethink business models, strengthen competitiveness, and deliver long-term societal value.

Before joining BCG, Olayinka spent over 5 years at McKinsey & Company, rising to the role of Engagement Manager. During this period, he led multidisciplinary consulting teams delivering turnaround and performance improvement programs across Sub-Saharan Africa. His sector experience included consumer packaged goods, private equity, and healthcare, helping deepen his expertise in problem solving, stakeholder alignment, and large-scale execution.

Earlier in his career, Olayinka was Founding Partner at XpressIt Business Network Limited, where he led a residential real estate development project from concept to execution. His responsibilities covered financing, planning, and project governance. He also gained hands-on industry experience at Procter & Gamble Nigeria, serving as Transportation Manager and building strong capabilities in supply chain and operational leadership.

Olayinka holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University. The program laid the foundation for his strategic thinking and leadership approach, which continue to shape his impact as a senior advisor to organizations across Africa and beyond.
