A brief moment on Mumbai roads turned into a talking point after actor Sanjay Dutt was seen driving a Tesla Cybertruck, a vehicle rarely spotted in India. The appearance of the futuristic electric pickup alongside one of Bollywood’s most recognised faces quickly caught the attention of auto enthusiasts and film fans alike, sparking wide discussion on social media.
The Tesla Cybertruck, known globally for its sharp, angular stainless-steel body and bold design, is not officially available for sale in India. The vehicle seen in Mumbai carried Dubai registration plates and is believed to have entered the country under a Carnet permit. This permit allows vehicles to be temporarily imported without paying full customs duties and taxes, on the condition that they are re-exported once the permitted period ends.
Videos circulating online show Sanjay Dutt stepping out of the left-hand-drive Cybertruck, indicating that the vehicle was brought in from overseas. Its striking design and futuristic presence stood out on city roads, drawing curiosity from passers-by and electric vehicle communities across platforms.
Internationally, the Cybertruck is known for its advanced electric powertrain, large battery capacity, and strong performance credentials. Top variants are reported to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in under 3 seconds, along with offering impressive hauling and utility capabilities, setting it apart from conventional electric vehicles.
On the professional front, Sanjay Dutt is currently appearing in Dhurandhar, which was released on December 5, 2025. He is also seen in The RajaSaab, which released a couple of weeks ago, keeping the actor firmly in the spotlight both on and off screen.
