LTIMindtree, India’s 6th-largest IT services provider, has secured a Rs. 3,000 crore contract from the Central Board of Direct Taxes to modernise its analytics platform using artificial intelligence. The 7-year deal was announced by the company in a statement released on Friday.
The win adds to a series of large deals for the Mumbai-headquartered firm. In October last year, LTIMindtree bagged its largest-ever contract worth $580 million from a leading global media and entertainment company. This was followed by a $450 million multi-year deal in May 2025 with US-based Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, a major agribusiness player.
Following the announcement, shares of LTIMindtree rose 5% to Rs. 6,337 around noon on Friday on the BSE. The update was shared during market hours.
More details about the CBDT project are expected to be disclosed on Monday, January 19, during the company’s earnings call for its FY26 results.
The recent increase in large deal wins is expected to support the company’s growth outlook. Brokerages estimate LTIMindtree’s revenue to grow between 2.2% and 2.4% sequentially in the December quarter.
In the previous quarter, the company reported a 12% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs. 1,401 crore. Revenue for the same period increased 10% to Rs. 10,394 crore, exceeding market expectations.
The latest contract highlights LTIMindtree’s growing focus on large-scale digital transformation projects and the use of AI-led solutions for public sector and enterprise clients.
