Redmi Buds 8 Lite debut globally with ANC and long battery life

Xiaomi has expanded its audio line-up with the launch of Redmi Buds 8 Lite in selected global markets. The new true wireless earbuds come with active noise cancellation, smart app controls and large 12.4mm dynamic drivers. They also support multi device connectivity, fast charging and water resistance. The company has not yet confirmed if these earbuds will be launched in India.

In Singapore, the Redmi Buds 8 Lite is priced at SGD 24.90, which is roughly Rs. 1,700. The earbuds are available in Blue, Black and White colour options and can be purchased through the official Xiaomi website. Buyers of the Redmi Buds 8 Series will also receive a two-month Spotify Premium subscription at no extra cost. This offer can be redeemed through the Xiaomi Earbuds app and is valid until August 8, 2026.

The Redmi Buds 8 Lite features 12.4mm titanium diaphragm dynamic drivers and supports SBC and AAC audio codecs. Users can fine tune audio output using five preset EQ modes or customised settings via the Xiaomi Earbuds app. The earbuds offer up to 42dB hybrid active noise cancellation and include dual microphone AI based noise reduction for clearer calls. A dedicated wind noise reduction system helps reduce interference at wind speeds of up to 6m per second, making outdoor calls clearer.

For connectivity, the earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual device pairing with automatic switching during calls. Google Fast Pair is also supported for quick setup on compatible Android devices. Each earbud packs a 45mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 475mAh battery. Xiaomi claims up to eight hours of playback on a single charge and up to thirty-six hours with the case. A ten-minute fast charge delivers up to two hours of use. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Each earbud weighs 4.5g, while the case weighs 35.2g, bringing the total weight to about 45.3g.
