Khaitan and CAM advise on Brookfield and JP Morgan lease for Asia’s largest GCC

Khaitan and Co has advised Brookfield on a 1.3 million square feet built to suit office development and leasing deal with JP Morgan Chase. Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has advised JP Morgan India on the same transaction.

Under the agreement, JP Morgan has leased space from BSS Property Ventures and Rajeshwar Property Ventures, both affiliates of Brookfield Properties. The office will be developed at “One Forest Avenue”, a proposed technology park in Powai, Mumbai. The project will house Asia’s largest global capability centre, spread across around 1.3 million square feet on a six acre land parcel.

Khaitan’s deal team included partner Harsh Parikh and principal associate Karan Dattani. The transaction at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas was supervised by partner and head of real estate Namrata Kolar. The core team was led by partners Harsha Sudhindra and Jaideep Kodali, with support from associate Solomon Sone.

Partner Siddharth Hariani, along with senior associate Piyush Langde, Yashvi Shah, and associate Anjali Kadam, handled the title due diligence for the transaction.
