The Redmi Turbo 5 series is slowly coming into focus, as new leaks and benchmark listings hint at the possible features of its top model. The lineup is expected to include the Redmi Turbo 5, Turbo 5 Max, and a Turbo 5 Pro Max. A recent Geekbench listing has revealed early details about what could be the Pro Max version. However, mixed model numbers and shifting names have created confusion about how many variants Redmi plans to launch.
A tech tipster, Anvin, shared information about a device with the model number 2602BRT18C, which is now being linked to the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max. The Geekbench entry shows a processor with four cores clocked at 2.40GHz, three cores at 3.30GHz, and one prime core at 3.73GHz. The device scored 2,656 points in single core tests and 8,377 points in multi core tests.
The hardware details suggest the phone could be powered by a high end MediaTek chipset. While it may be based on the Dimensity 9400 Plus, the chip could be marketed as the Dimensity 9500s, which MediaTek is expected to announce on January 15. The listing also hints at a Mali G925 Immortalis MC12 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and Android 16.
There is still uncertainty around the naming of the devices. The same model number was earlier linked to the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro after it appeared on a certification site with support for 100W fast charging. It is now being associated with the Pro Max variant.
The tipster suggests Redmi could launch two premium models, including a Turbo 5 Max with a Dimensity 8500 chip and a Turbo 5 Pro Max with the Dimensity 9500s. Redmi has confirmed the Turbo 5 Max for China but has not yet revealed a Pro Max model.
Design leaks suggest a horizontal dual camera setup in an oval module, slim bezels, and a centred hole punch camera. Like previous Turbo models, the phone may be rebranded for global markets under the Poco name, possibly in the Poco X8 series.
