Against the backdrop of rising software complexity in modern vehicles, an Indian mobility technology firm is spotlighting its AI-driven approach on a global stage.
KPIT Technologies is presenting its Agentic AI solution suite at CES 2026, aimed at addressing key challenges in vehicle software development for automotive manufacturers. The company is focusing on issues such as complex software architectures, increasing defect rates, and the growing pressure to deliver connected vehicles faster.
With over 25 years of experience and involvement in more than 2,000 vehicle production programs, KPIT said the new solution suite is a modular and cloud-ready ecosystem. It is designed to reimagine the Software Development Lifecycle while improving speed, reliability, and cost efficiency. Pilot implementations are currently underway in Connected Vehicles and Autonomy domains with automotive manufacturers.
The suite leverages Generative AI and Microsoft Foundry, which supports model orchestration, evaluation, and policy guardrails. KPIT stated that its software already powers over 20 million vehicles globally.
According to the company, the AI-driven approach has delivered measurable outcomes, including faster defect resolution, improved code quality, and better consumer satisfaction.
“KPIT is reimagining how vehicle software comes to life, using the power of Generative AI and agents to transform every stage of development. Off-board intelligence is helping us build new ways to create, test, and deliver mobility solutions. Embedded AI is shaping how vehicles sense, decide, and respond in real time. Collaborating with Microsoft and tapping into the AI infrastructure helps us scale our solution suite across global OEMs,” said Kishor Patil, CEO, KPIT Technologies.
“At Microsoft, we’re advancing responsible AI that helps industries innovate at scale. Working with KPIT, we’re combining trusted AI infrastructure with agentic AI to reimagine mobility software and deliver smarter, connected experiences for OEMs, partners, and consumers,” said Dayan Rodriguez, Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft.
