OnePlus Turbo 6 series confirmed with 9,000mAh batteries ahead of China debut

Fresh details have emerged about the upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6 lineup as the brand prepares for its China launch.

OnePlus has officially confirmed that both the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V will feature massive 9,000mAh batteries. This marks the largest battery capacity ever offered on a OnePlus smartphone. The company shared the information through a post on Weibo, highlighting a major focus on long battery life for the new series.

The 9,000mAh battery surpasses the previous record held by the OnePlus Ace 6T, which came with an 8,300mAh battery. According to OnePlus, the standard Turbo 6 can deliver more than 10 hours of usage on a single charge.

Battery test results conducted by New Review Technology and shared by OnePlus claim that the OnePlus Turbo 6 achieved up to 10 hours and 37 minutes of usage in a single cycle. The company says this places the phone at the top of its internal battery endurance rankings. Under ultra high intensity use, the device is said to last for “nearly” 9 hours. With moderate daily usage, the phone can reportedly run for about 1 to 2 days, offering around 10 hours of total screen time.

In terms of hardware, the OnePlus Turbo 6 is teased to feature a 1.5K resolution display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The phone will come with a plastic frame and carry IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. It is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus has also revealed that the device will include an Adreno 825 GPU and run on Android 16 based OxygenOS 16.

The OnePlus Turbo 6V is expected to share many features with the Turbo 6, with some differences. It is teased to sport a 6.8 inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and may be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
