Google announces 50 percent discount on Google AI Pro annual plan

A new limited time offer from Google is making advanced artificial intelligence tools more affordable for select users. The company announced a 50 percent price cut on its Google AI Pro annual plan for eligible subscribers, allowing access to its full AI feature set at a significantly lower cost.

The announcement was shared through a post on X by the official Gemini handle. The discount is available only to new subscribers, meaning users who have not previously purchased the Google AI Pro plan using the same account. The offer is also limited to select regions. While it is confirmed to be available in the US, it could not be verified for India at the time of reporting. The offer remains valid until January 15.

Under the revised pricing, new subscribers in the US can purchase the 12 month Google AI Pro plan for $99.99, down from the usual price of $199.99 for the first year. After the discounted period ends, the subscription will renew at $239.88 for the next year. Google noted that the plan auto renews, and users who do not wish to continue should turn off auto pay or disable the mandate.

The Google AI Pro subscription provides higher usage limits and access to several AI tools. These include the Gemini 3 Pro AI model, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and Veo 3.1 Fast for video generation. Subscribers also get access to the Gemini chatbot across Google Workspace products. In addition, the plan includes 2TB of cloud storage across Drive, Photos, and Gmail.

Separately, a technology publication reported that Google One is also offering a similar 50 percent discount on its annual plans for new subscribers. The terms and conditions are said to be the same as those for the Google AI Pro plan. With this offer, the Basic 100GB Google One plan is available for $9.99 for 12 months instead of $19.99. The Premium 2TB plan, usually priced at $99.99 per year, is currently available for $49.99.
