OpenAI has introduced a new personalised recap feature for ChatGPT users, offering a snapshot of how people interacted with the artificial intelligence chatbot throughout 2025.
Called Your Year With ChatGPT, the optional feature is inspired by Spotify Wrapped and highlights recurring themes from user conversations. It provides a yearly overview that includes usage statistics, common discussion topics, frequently asked questions, and search patterns. Users also receive light hearted awards based on their activity.
According to OpenAI, the feature is available to all ChatGPT users, including Free, Plus, and Pro subscribers. It is currently limited to select markets and supports only the English language.
The company said the feature works only when reference saved memory and reference chat history settings are turned on. Users must also meet a minimum activity level. If usage is low, the recap will display only basic statistics. OpenAI added that users should be running the latest version of the ChatGPT app on Android or iOS to access the feature.
Your Year With ChatGPT appears automatically as a banner on the app home screen. Users can also tap the + icon and select the Your Year With ChatGPT option to view their summary. The recap is displayed in a card style format and can be shared on social media platforms.
OpenAI confirmed that the feature reflects how users engaged with ChatGPT during 2025 and is designed to offer a simple and engaging look back at their interactions.
The rollout is underway in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US. A technology publication has confirmed that the feature is also visible to ChatGPT users in India through the same access methods.
