LG has unveiled a new surround sound solution that gives users more freedom in how they set up home audio systems.
The company has introduced its first Dolby Atmos FlexConnect speakers under the LG Sound Suite range. For the first time, the lineup also includes a soundbar, expanding LG’s approach to flexible surround sound setups.
The LG Sound Suite consists of 4 products. These include the H7 soundbar, the M7 and M5 surround speakers, and the W7 subwoofer. The announcement was made ahead of CES 2026.
Dolby FlexConnect is a surround sound system that allows users to place speakers anywhere in a room. The software automatically calibrates the speakers to create a Dolby Atmos setup. The technology was first introduced last year with the TCL Z100 speaker.
LG said that TVs need to support FlexConnect to use the system. However, if users purchase the H7 soundbar, it can function as a “lead device” for the system. This allows the speakers to be used with any TV, even if the television does not have FlexConnect built in.
According to LG, the Sound Suite supports 27 different speaker configurations. Users can set up anything from a basic 2 speaker arrangement to a full 13.1.7 channel home theater system, depending on the number of speakers used.
The company also confirmed that its premium 2026 TVs will feature FlexConnect compatibility as standard. In addition, the feature will be extended to select 2025 TV models.
LG has not yet announced pricing or availability details for the Sound Suite. For comparison, the competing TCL Z100 FlexConnect speaker is priced at $300.
The new Sound Suite reflects LG’s push to offer more adaptable and user friendly home audio solutions as demand grows for immersive sound experiences.
