Fintech company Infibeam Avenues, which operates the CCAvenue payment gateway, is planning to change its name to AvenuesAI as it places artificial intelligence at the core of its business strategy. The company said its board has given in principle approval for the rebranding, which remains subject to regulatory clearance.
The move is aimed at repositioning the company from a payments and ecommerce infrastructure provider to an AI led digital payments entity. Explaining the rationale, Joint Managing Director Vishwas Patel said, “AI is no longer an enabler; it is central to who we are and what we are building.”
Infibeam Avenues is already using AI tools across its technology stack. These tools support key functions such as transaction authorisation, payment routing, fraud detection, credit scoring, and the development of platforms for banks and enterprises.
According to the company, the AvenuesAI rebranding is intended to clearly signal this strategic shift to investors and customers. It also aligns with the company product roadmap under the CCAvenue brand. The company noted that AI driven digital payments firms are witnessing faster growth and improved margins, supported by higher productivity through automation and data analytics.
Infibeam operates across multiple international markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, the US, and Oman. In these regions, it works with several large local banks. The company said its revenue rose 84% on a half year basis in the first half of FY26, while total payment volume increased 26% year on year.
After the rebranding, Infibeam will continue to operate CCAvenue as its flagship payments brand. It will also offer the same range of digital payments and fintech products under the new corporate identity.
In FY25, Infibeam processed transactions worth Rs 8.67 lakh crore across its payments and platform businesses. The company currently serves more than 10000000 clients, including merchants, enterprises, governments, and financial institutions in India and overseas.
