Shukla’s five-year term begins on December 18 after a detailed selection process and regulatory approvals.
The company is entering a crucial phase with a renewed focus on growth, governance and stronger positioning in the housing finance market. Shukla takes over from Girish Kousgi, who contributed to expanding the organisation’s affordable housing business.
Shukla brings more than 3 decades of experience in housing finance. He joins PNB Housing Finance from Tata Capital Housing Finance, where he served as Chief Business Officer for Retail Finance. His earlier leadership roles include Chief Credit Officer and Head of Mortgage Business at Tata Capital Housing Finance, as well as key positions at ICICI Bank and LIC Housing Finance Limited.
Shukla has been known for managing high performing mortgage portfolios and scaling both premium and affordable housing finance operations. With demand rising in the affordable housing segment, he is expected to strengthen PNB Housing Finance’s presence in this market where competition remains limited and opportunities continue to grow.
