Opera opens public access to Neon browser with advanced AI agents and premium model subscription

Opera has made its AI driven browser Opera Neon available to everyone, marking a major step in its plan to offer early access to new artificial intelligence features. The browser was previously available only through a waitlist, but users can now subscribe and explore its experimental tools, advanced models and agent based features.

The company said Opera Neon is built for people who want to try new AI capabilities before they become mainstream. The browser receives frequent updates, often with major improvements every week. During the Founders period, Opera worked closely with its early user community to refine features ahead of this wider release.

Opera describes Neon as an agentic AI browser. It is designed not only to load websites but also to perform tasks, automate workflows and even generate or modify web apps. It integrates advanced AI models such as Gemini 3 Pro and GPT 5.1 and serves as a testing environment for technologies still under development before they are added to Opera’s main browsers.

The subscription service is supported by an AI engine that works with multiple large language models. Opera said this setup allows users to access several AI systems in a single workspace without paying for separate services. Subscribers also gain entry to a dedicated Discord community where they can test upcoming features, talk to Opera’s developers and share feedback.

Subscribers receive three core agent features. They get access to AI models including Gemini 3 Pro, GPT 5.1, Veo 3.1 and Nano Banana Pro. They can also use the Neon Chat, Do and Make agents that can book full trips, build websites, create videos and edit documents. The ODRA deep research agent can gather and summarise information from many sources, with a “1 minute research” option for quick insights.

Opera Neon is available for $19.90 per month on operaneon.com. Opera’s other browsers, including Opera One, Opera GX and Opera Air, will continue to provide free AI features for regular users through Opera AI.
