Chaudhuri brings over 26 years of experience across leading institutions including Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, State Bank of India and Tata Steel. His expertise spans microfinance, rural finance, retail lending and institutional governance. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of IndusInd Bank Limited.
He spent a significant part of his career at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he served as President and Business Head of Microfinance. During his tenure, he led large scale transformation projects, managed post acquisition integration of microfinance institutions and drove the shift toward a digitally enabled and data driven operating model.
Throughout his leadership journey, Chaudhuri has shown strong capability in regulatory management, stakeholder engagement and crisis handling. He guided businesses through major disruptions such as the AP ordinance, demonetization, the ILFS crisis, COVID 19 and the risk challenges that followed.
Chaudhuri also worked closely with global institutions such as the US International Development Finance Corporation and the Asian Development Bank, helping build strong international financial partnerships.
As he takes over the leadership of Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited, Chaudhuri is expected to focus on driving digital innovation, strengthening governance and expanding financial inclusion for underserved communities across the country.
