Samsung has officially confirmed the Exynos 2600, its next generation flagship mobile processor, marking the company’s entry into 2 nanometre chip technology. The processor is expected to make its debut with the Galaxy S26 series, which is scheduled to launch in early 2026. This confirmation comes after months of speculation, as the company had not previously revealed the chip’s name.
The announcement was made through a teaser video shared on Samsung’s official YouTube channel. In the clip, the company states, “In silence, we listened,” a message seen as a response to past criticism about performance and heating issues linked with earlier Exynos models. The statement suggests Samsung is acknowledging user concerns and working to address them in its new design.
The Exynos 2600 is described as “refined at the core” and “optimized at every level,” indicating that Samsung has invested extensively in enhancing efficiency and performance. The company also claims the processor is engineered to “express the exceptional,” signalling its intention to position the chip as a major improvement over previous generations.
While Samsung has shared glimpses of its development, it remains uncertain how the processor will perform under real world conditions. More details are expected soon, as the official announcement is likely to come within the next few weeks. Samsung typically unveils its flagship processor about a month before the launch of its next Galaxy S series phones.
The Galaxy S26 lineup is anticipated to be introduced in February 2026, making the Exynos 2600 announcement imminent.
