Covasant Technologies opens AI Innovation Centre in Hyderabad

Covasant Technologies, an agentic AI led services provider, has opened its new AI Innovation Centre in Hyderabad. The centre is part of India’s expanding Global Capability Centre ecosystem and will support global work in AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise automation. Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility.

Covasant plans to build a workforce of three thousand people in AI and ML, cybersecurity, and data engineering by the year twenty twenty eight. The Hyderabad centre will begin with five hundred engineers. Along with its offices in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, London, and Dubai, the new centre will support global delivery and innovation, which are central to GCC operations.

Founder C. V. Subramanyam said, “Agentic AI is emerging as a powerful capability. Our focus is on solving enterprise problems, automating complex workflows, and embedding AI agents into the enterprise fabric.”

Minister D. Sridhar Babu spoke about the need to upskill professionals to match the rapid growth of AI. Telangana’s planned AI Hub, which includes an AI University, will offer advanced training in new technologies for students and engineers. This will help build a strong talent pipeline for GCCs and AI innovation centres.

Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that Telangana aims to make Hyderabad India’s largest AI hub and a top twenty global AI destination. The state plans to bring GCCs and AI initiatives under a single unified command centre.

Hyderabad currently hosts more than seventy GCCs of multinational companies, and this number is expected to cross seventy five this year. Covasant’s new centre will strengthen the city’s capabilities in AI and ML, cybersecurity, and enterprise automation. The initiative is expected to create more than ten thousand high value AI jobs by twenty twenty eight and train over one crore professionals, supporting the growth of the GCC ecosystem.

Hyderabad continues to grow as a global IT and GCC hub, attracting talent, research activity, and corporate investment. Covasant Technologies’ AI Innovation Centre adds to this growth by combining global delivery with innovation and advanced AI engineering.
